E-Bike Tour to the Enzianhütte in Rum – Enjoyment on Two Wheels

by Hotel Sailer

The Enzianhütte – Tyrolean Alpine Hut Charm at the Foot of the Rumer Spitze

The Enzianhütte is located at an altitude of 1,041 metres above Rum, nestled in the forests at the foot of the Rumer Spitze on the southern side of the Nordkette mountain range. Thanks to its sunny location and beautiful views of the surrounding Tyrolean mountains, it is a popular destination for hikers and mountain bikers.

The cosy sun terrace is perfect for taking a break, while traditional Tyrolean dishes, hearty snacks and refreshing drinks provide the ideal way to recharge. The hut is also easily accessible by e-bike, as mountain bike route 513 passes directly by the Enzianhütte.

How to Get to the Enzianhütte

The Enzianhütte can be reached from Innsbruck in several ways – both by e-bike and on foot.

We started our tour in Innsbruck and first took bus line J to Hungerburg. E-bikes can be transported on the bike rack of the bus. Depending on available space and the time of day, bicycles may also be taken inside the bus, with a maximum of two bicycles permitted in each designated multi-purpose area.

From Hungerburg, we continued by e-bike towards the Enzianhütte. The ride to the hut took us around 45 minutes.

Those who would like to complete the entire route by bike can also start directly in Innsbruck or Rum. Mountain bike route 513 passes directly by the Enzianhütte, making it an ideal choice for a mountain bike or e-bike excursion.

There are also several options for reaching the hut on foot. From the Rum holiday village, the Enzianhütte can be reached in approximately 50 minutes. Those starting at Hungerburg can hike via the Arzler Alm and Rumer Alm to the Enzianhütte. For this varied route, you should allow around 2 hours each way.

Whether you arrive by e-bike or on foot, once you reach 1,041 metres above sea level, you can look forward to a cosy sun terrace, traditional Tyrolean cuisine and a well-deserved break surrounded by nature.
