Swarovski Crystal Worlds

A glittering world in Wattens in Tyrol

It's roughly 20 minutes by car or shuttle from the main train station near Hotel Sailer from Innsbruck to Wattens, where Swarovski Crystal Worlds are at home. Even from outside the crystal world of wonders looks phenomenal: the head of a huge, water spouting giant guards the entrance to the fascinating exhibition rooms, which are hidden in a green hill. More than 12 million visitors have visited the sparkling interactive world in Wattens so far.

From the mouth of a large head of grass comes water that flows into a small pond. The sky is cloudless and the sun makes the water sparkle
In the Swarovski Crystal Worlds not only the crystals sparkle, but also your eyes.

Chambers of wonder caught between fantasy and reality

Crystals can be experienced in an imaginative and creative way in the crystal worlds' different chambers of wonder and in the vast park. Internationally and also nationally renowned artists, designers and architects have contributed to the exhibition.

7.5 hectares of exhibition space indoors and outdoors

Since they were considerably expanded between 2013 and 2015, the crystal worlds have other highlights besides five more fantastic chambers of wonder. For example, the park has been adorned with unique art installations, redesigned and expanded. The undisputed highlight though is the Crystal Cloud, which was made out of 800,000 hand-mounted crystals and doubles its brilliance by floating over a black water pool. An all-year round programme of events for all age groups, the giant repertoire, rounds off what is on offer in Wattens.

Children of all ages find thrilling fun and adventure in the play tower and innovative playground.

The Crystal Worlds also has a large visitor's shop where you can be tempted by one or two little gifts: the range includes modern and classic jewellery, the famous figurines and souvenirs.

Swarovski shop in Innsbruck

You can also experience the world of Swarovski in Innsbruck's old town. There is a large shop with two floors in Herzog-Friedrich-Straße, whose rooms are staged in a fascinating way with crystal works of art.

The origins of Swarovski

he Swarovski empire goes back to the founder Daniel Swarovski. Born in Bohemia in 1862, Swarovski realised that the Alps were the ideal location for his corporate vision after he moved to Tyrol in 1895. There were enough hydro-power resources to drive the machines here. The first facilities for producing crystals were built in 1913. Soon the flawlessly polished gemstones were coveted all over the place. For its 100th anniversary, a monument was erected to the worldwide successful company with Swarovski Crystal Worlds, which attracts hundreds and thousands of visitors every year.
